QA Engineer (Automation+Manual)

Introduction
We are looking for 4+years experienced skilled QA Engineer with strong experience in Playwright automation, XRAY test management, and solid manual testing expertise. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality through structured test planning, robust automation coverage, and detailed manual validation across web applications.
Responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).
- Build reusable automation frameworks and ensure high test coverage across modules.
- Create and manage test cases, test plans, and test cycles in XRAY integrated with Jira.
- Execute functional, regression, smoke, UI, API, and end-to-end tests as required.
- Perform manual testing for new features, edge cases, and areas not covered by automation.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies and collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams.
- Identify defects, perform root-cause analysis, and track resolution through Jira/XRAY workflows.
- Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps—any relevant tool).
- Provide clear reporting on test results, automation metrics, and overall product quality.
Primary Skills :
- 4+ Years of hands-on QA experience
- Strong expertise in Playwright for UI automation (TypeScript/JS).
- Practical experience in XRAY for test management within Jira.
- Excellent understanding of QA methodologies (Agile/Scrum).
- Experience in API validation using Playwright APIs or tools like Postman.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced sprints with attention to detail.
Secondary Skills :
- Experience with performance testing tools (optional).
- Exposure to cloud-based testing, containerisation, or microservices.
- Knowledge of Git and CI/CD best practices.
